Project Win for OSBS at East Norfolk Sixth Form College

[[posterous-content:pid___0]]

Elliott Off-Site Building Solutions has been commissioned by East Norfolk Sixth Form College to design and build a new canteen and two-storey classroom block. This continues a hugely successful relationship with the College established in 2003. Three separate contracts in that time have included the current works, two further classroom blocks and a sports hall for a total of £7m.

The new two-storey classroom block will include 16 classrooms, toilets and office accommodation with the external elevations containing a mixture of red brickwork and grey Kingspan cladding to complement the existing buildings on the College site. The building will include a covered walkway linking the classroom block to the new canteen.

The new single-storey canteen building will include an open seating area with up to 196 people capacity. Also within the buildings footprint will be a kitchen, servery, toilets and storage provision. Sliding folding doors will lead out onto a large terraced area facing the College playing fields to the South of the site. The building will have the same external appearance as the classroom block in keeping with the existing College site.

Both new buildings will be formed using a combination of structural steel frame and timber infill panels with concrete floors throughout with all internal and external finishes and mechanical and electrical installations meeting the College’s specification.

The Elliott Off-Site team will start on site in early September with overall completion of the projects expected in April 2012. Once completed, the whole south facing vista of the College site will include the five buildings constructed by Elliott Off-Site.

OSBS Progress at Victory Park, Sheffield

Elliott Off-Site Building Solutions are making good progress on the new Elliott Depot at Victory Park in Sheffield. The project includes new workshop buildings, a new office building (pictured) and large hard standings for the storage of hire products.

The picture demonstrates the hybrid steel frame and timber infill panel method of construction utilised for this project by the Elliott Off-Site team. This method of construction is employed on many of the division’s projects and provides the benefit of a shorter construction programme. Using modern methods of constructing buildings we are able to provide complete design flexibility which provides tangible benefits to customers in terms of speed of construction, higher quality and efficient and adaptable space use.

Cabin Just the Ticket for Goodwood

Some may think that a "cabin company" simply hire out portable site office buildings, security containers and portable toilet blocks but here at Elliott we try to go that little bit further. Here's a purpose built ticket office, in this case used at the recent Goodwood Festival of Speed event. The unit is made in the style of our anti-vandal range (which makes sense if there's the possibility that at times it may hold bags full of cash!). Additionally they are often used as accommodation for car park attendants.

Stunning Cabin - Piece of Cake!

Get it? Piece of Cake - Skoda? Ah well!

This was another of the portable cabins with the customer's branded wrap that we sent down to the recent Festival of Speed event held at Goodwood. The unit is from our Moduflex range and is double stacked with a Viewflex unit on top. It was used as a corporate hospitality suite by the Skoda team and was positioned at the start of the rally stage. (although the pictures are taken in our depot prior to delivery)

Fast Cars - Check! Great Weather - Check! Cabins - Check!

Here's a great shot. It was taken at the recent Festival of Speed held at Goodwood. The portable cabins were positioned at the start/finish line and were used as accommodation for the race organisers and sponsors. The units supplied were from our Moduflex range and were branded with a chequered wrap. Coooool!

Barbecued Bacon Butties

Last weekend three Elliott teams competed in the Peterborough Dragon Boat Festival. The rowing took place on the River Nene on the Sunday and was preceded by a "few" sociable drinks in Peterborough on the Saturday night. It was with great relief then that on the Saturday morning the competitors were greeted with freshly made bacon butties expertly cooked on an Elliott Event Hire gas barbecue. MMmmmm bacon!

Elliott Moduflex - The Wright Stuff!

Elliott Event Hire were chosen as the supplier for temporary fencingsite offices and toilets for this years Golf Live event at London Golf Club, 20th-22nd May 2011.
The event saw the likes of Ian Woosnam and Colin Montgomerie display their skills and give pointers to the thousands of golf fans who attended over the three days of the event.
As part of the set up, Elliott installed an eight bay Moduflex corporate hospitality building with viewing balcony which was used as a VIP area to entertain key clients and prospective customers.
It provided a fantastic view of the 18th green, and even attracted a celebrity fanbase, with ex-England and Arsenal footballer Ian Wright spotted sipping a cold beer whilst enjoying the golf from the Elliott 'Viewflex'

Who's Loos do they Use?

Ours of course. More than 400 of them as it happens. Elliott Event Hire supplied street urinals, wheelchair accessible toilets and single portable toilets again this year for the Bupa Great Manchester run. Logistically a tricky event to supply as there are many locations for the toilets around the city and the deliveries have to be made at specific times. No problem for the events team though, this is what the customer said........................."Hi Joanne, Thanks for your help with the junior and mini Manchester run last weekend. The toilet provision was as per the plan and all units were delivered and collected on time."

Perfect!

Elliott Cavalry Arrive in the Nick of Time

On Saturday 26th February 2011at 09.00 we received a call from a client via our out of hours emergency website.   They were requesting the urgent delivery of temporary accommodation. Unfortunately they had been let down by a different supplier. Within 4 hours we had delivered a 20' portable office unit into Horse Guards Parade, London. Because of our large branch network we were able to instantly locate both transport and a ready to go unit and in this case the building, an energy saving ECO unit, was sourced from our branch in Leicester.
